Daring to Lead
Thousands of interviews, surveys, and datapoints that need weaving into a story. The challenge of this typical nonprofit report form was that its message was too important to risk losing it among the hundreds of other reports on the sector. We needed to turn data-heavy Excel charts into stories; little narratives in each data set. Instead of just issuing a paper report or PDF, we encouraged the client to place the entire report on the Web. And not just as a static site, but as a place where the report's audience can comment and discuss some of the hard truths about what's happening to nonprofit leadership in the 21st century. All this with a balanced visual design of energy, determination, and hope.
